These values guide our work every day with our clients and each other.

About our Values

Our values were created by staff members, leaders, and interns. We use these as a guide and expectation for how we treat our clients and each other. 

Learning:

We continuously learn together, from each other, our clients and our community. We strive to embrace a ‘beginner’s mind’, remaining open to other’s perspectives, while checking our own judgments and assumptions.

Reliability:

We are reliable to our clients, community, our agency and to one another.

Joy:

We seek joy and good humor, with one another and with our clients, and celebrate successes along the way.

  Compassion for ourselves and others:

We care about human suffering, work hard to alleviate pain and promote healing, do no harm, AND we set boundaries to take care of ourselves. We embrace the dialectic of giving and taking: it is as important to replenish ourselves as it is to give to others.

Respect (Diversity) :

We believe that a respect for diversity of identities, social locations and opinions enhances our workplace and improves our services for the wider community.
